In-house Consultancy Skills


This one-day workshop will enable delegates to explore and practise the key skills and behaviours required to confidently partner and offer effective solutions to internal stakeholders and customer groups.

They will start to build their own personal ‘brand’ by understanding and experiencing personal impact, trust and rapport. They will also examine the elements of effectively diagnosing customer needs.

The workshop is highly interactive and allows for bespoke feedback from qualified actor/coaches. Delegates should bring examples of challenging conversations they have experienced, or they think they might experience in their workplace.

Learning Objectives

  1. Develop an understanding of the essential skills and behaviors required to effectively partner with internal stakeholders and customer groups, enabling delegates to provide valuable solutions and support in their roles as internal consultants.

  2. Enhance personal impact, trust, and rapport-building skills to establish and cultivate strong professional relationships with stakeholders and customers, contributing to the development of a strong personal 'brand' as a trusted consultant.

  3. Acquire practical techniques for diagnosing customer needs, including effective questioning and active listening, enabling delegates to gather accurate information and insights to address customer challenges and requirements.

  4. Apply the learned skills and behaviours in interactive activities and role-plays, facilitated by qualified actor/coaches, to practice and refine their consultancy skills, receiving personalised feedback and guidance.

  5. Analyse and reflect on challenging conversations experienced or anticipated in the workplace, using real-life examples brought by delegates, to develop strategies for effectively navigating and managing such situations as an internal consultant.

  6. Create an action plan for ongoing professional development, incorporating the skills and techniques learned during the workshop, to continually improve as an internal consultant and deliver impactful solutions to stakeholders and customers.

How our virtual classrooms work

Our Virtual Classroom courses allows you to attend our classroom training without leaving your home or office. We use the ‘Microsoft Teams’ meeting software. Before you attend, please check that you meet the system requirements. If it doesn’t work, try adjusting your settings or contact your IT department to ask about permitting the website.

You are also welcome to use your personal laptop, tablet or even your smart phone. Please just forward our course invite to your personal email, or just copy and paste the link into your browser.
